Many thanks given to this author who speaks such clarity. This is the beginning of the year for some of us. Fall entering our lives may give us the retrospection and calm we have forgotten in the wildness of the summer frenzy.
I would like to give much appreciation and gratitude to our sponsors Blurr who have given us the clothing for our yoga classes, and Half moon yoga who have given us yoga props for the "Cross Canada Pearl Jam Tour".

I will be away on tour for one month, returning at the end of September. I look forward to seeing all of you. Rae Abbot (wonderful, inspiring yoga instructor) will teach all the yoga classes in Richmond and at Body and Soul. The various wonderful yoga instructors of Semperviva will sub my classes at Semperviva.

Pose of the Month
Ustrasana: Camel
Method:
Starting with both knees and feet on the floor, shoulder width apart.
Imagining that there is a wall that your pelvis presses, while the buttocks are relaxed and the bandhas are activated.
Gently place the hands on the buttocks take a breath then lower to the full pose hands on the ankles.
Remove yourself by active breath and bandhas with the intention of a graceful lift up.
Modifications:
*tuck the toes under.
*leave the hands on the buttocks or inner thighs.
Benefits:
*Stimulates the thyroid and regulates metabolism.
*Stimulates the entire digestive system.
*Opens the the mid-line, chest and shoulders.
*strengthens the thighs.

Recipe
of the Month:
Smoked tofu Pate + With Love by Jessica Dehaas
1package of smoked tofu
3 tbsp. Almond butter
Juice 1 lemon remove seeds
1 clove garlic
Splash of tamari
1 tbsp. of flax (chili garlic flax is tastiest)
Put tofu and almond butter in the blender then add a little water until mixture is creamy.
Add lemon juice, garlic, tamari and flax in the blender and blend for a minute.
Remove and use with crackers, veggies and other.
Enjoy!
