E-newsletter: October

We are welcomed with the fusion of colors; orange hues, reds, burnt sienna and browns, the transformation of fall that is a feast for our eyes. Our energy levels, emotions, ideas, and appetite are just some of the places, where we notice the season affecting us. May we lather up in Mother Nature’s beauty.

News:

The yoga and martial arts studio is having a grand opening, November 20th. I invite everyone to join the festivities. We will have a wonderful gathering of folks from all walks of life and great food and fun events.
Thanks to all the yogi’s and yoginis who come to our classes and who teach me so much in return.

I will be going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a five day workshop. This will be an inspiring time as the season is changing, our bodies will be ever more willing to change. A full week of yoga practice, incorporating cleansing techniques, diet and nutrition and traditional Chinese medicinal practices will brighten any individuals zest for life.

David Procyshyn will be covering the classes, he is currently teaching every Monday at 6:30pm. We have a fantastic yoga instructor Melahnie (She and David both trained at the Chakra yoga center in Thailand), who will take the Wednesday the 20th , come by and check it out!

Please keep in mind that I will be booking some dates for a week-end yoga and nutrition workshop in Richmond for the last weekend of November. The specific dates and times will be announced next month. I am open to feedback in response to the dates.

Health tip: The snivels may have knocked on your door or someone near you. The last thing you want is to be in bed for a week. Here is an alternative.

Boil 2 cups of water, add ginger, onion, garlic and let them boil for 10 minutes. Strain and add fresh squeezed lemon with a touch of honey. No runny nose or flu will want to hang around for too long.

Thanks for the inspiring responses regarding yoga classes and traditional Chinese medicine practices.
