We are taking in the gift of the sun, the heat, and the energy; known as the life force. This is what summer is about, the collection of life force and inspiration to do what makes us feel alive, motivated and happy. Doing things that uplift us and uplift others keeps us vibrant, on the supported and sustainable path. Recipe
of the Month:
Summer Heat Chaser (For 2)
1lemon
3tbsp Honey
Earl grey or jasmine green tea
10 ice cubes
Get two large glasses. Boil water and steep tea for 3-5 minutes. Slice Lemon very fine while removing all seeds and then place in glasses. Put 3-5 ice cubes on top of lemon. Pour 11/2 tbsps of honey on top of the ice. Then pour 1/2 cup of hot tea over the cubes. You may need to add a little more tea or a bit more ice depending on glass size. Serve with a tall spoon to mix and crush some of the lemon. Mmmm... Refreshing!
Benefits:
Drinking fluid is probably more important than eating. Our bodies are mainly water and we need clean and sufficient amount for our body to function properly.
Lemon is cooling in thermal nature; very sour and an astringent and antiseptic. Perhaps the most valuable fruit therapeutically for people who have eaten a high-fat/protein diet. It destroys putrefactive bacteria and in both intestines and mouth. Its antiseptic, antimicrobial, and mucus-resolving action make it use during dysentery, colds, flus, hacking coughs, and parasite infestation. Wow and there’s even more!
Namaste,
Natasha
